As the Quality Management System coordinator (QMS), you will have the autonomy to recommend and establish new processes and build on our existing Quality Management System to ensure the QMS is standardized, implemented, and maintained.
As the guiding light of our QMS, you will stay abreast of the latest technology in sustainability and quality management in order reach our Quality goals and objectives.
Highly visible to senior leadership, you will strive year over year for continuous improvement in each area, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
You will chart a course of continued success by educating and training on new policies and procedures, while collaborating with staff for understanding, agreement, and compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, Work instructions, and other documented processes, and own the audit process.

QMS
Responsibilities:
Monitor, update and keep current the QMS, including work instructions, documents, and records.
Enhance the QMS by determining improvement parameters.
Train and lead employees in all aspects of the quality management system and conduct quality meetings with company personnel.

Ensure processes are aligned with current system approach throughout the organization.
Liason between all departments to ensure everyone understand their role in the QMS.
Manage the audit process to assist company with QMS processes and improvements.
Build and audit protocols and conduct periodic internal audits.
Provide reports and assistance with performance of QMS to leadership team.
Promote and assist problem solving capabilities ensuring proper identification of root cause.
Facilitates 'root cause' analysis in corrective action or non-conformance process.
Effectively communicates and trains on QMS procedures and policies to all employees and management.
Recommends solutions and potential resources to implement improvements to the QMS.
Responsible for coordinating certification audits and ensuring the non-conformances derived from them are closed out timely.
Coordinate and participate in external audits.
Monitor and report on how the QMS is performing, which will include KPI's, countermeasures and tactical action tracking.
Maintain and improve processes for ISO 9001 to ensure 100% compliance to the standard.
Develop and implement well thought out processes within the organization.
Support miscellaneous activities that may pertain to the QMS.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Primary knowledge of ISO 9001 Standard.
Lead auditor training is a plus.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated.

Possess a strong desire lead, train, and coach.
Computer literate in Windows-based database programs and MS Office products ERP experience a plus.
Chemical manufacturing experience a plus.
Possess excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask independently.
Ability to think independently, communicate thoroughly, and influence the implementation of the appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
Ability to make independent judgments to manage and facilitate company programs/policies as they relate to the QMS.
Positively interact and influence front-line supervisors and field personnel to create a standardized work environment.
Leadership skills and a proactive mindset and not reactive.
